Reconnecting with yourself through change

Menopause is a natural stage in every woman’s life – yet for many, it can bring unexpected changes that affect not just the body, but the mind and spirit too. Hot flushes, sleepless nights, mood shifts, and a sense of disconnection from your body can leave you feeling unlike yourself.

As a holistic practitioner, I’ve seen how Yoni Steaming offers a gentle and deeply nurturing way to reconnect during this transition. This traditional practice supports the body’s natural rhythms, helping ease symptoms and restore a sense of calm and balance.

What is Yoni Steaming?

Yoni Steaming, also known as vaginal steaming (or v-steaming) is an ancient self-care practice used by women for centuries across the world to support reproductive health and wellbeing. It involves sitting comfortably over a warm herbal steam blend, allowing the healing properties of the plants to gently support the pelvic area.

A Yoni steam treatment is soothing, grounding, and deeply restorative. Many women describe feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to their bodies after just one session.

Yoni steaming and menopause, supporting the whole woman.

Every woman’s journey through menopause is unique, and so is every Yoni Steam treatment.

For women in perimenopause and menopause, steaming can help to:

  • Soothe vaginal dryness and discomfort – the warmth and herbs encourage healthy circulation and hydration.
  • Ease pelvic tension and cramping – relaxing tight muscles and improving energy flow.
  • Support emotional wellbeing- calming the nervous system and encouraging relaxation.
  • Promote restful sleep – by helping the body move out of stress mode and into deep rest.
  • Encourage a sense of reconnection – helping women feel at home in their bodies again.

Unlike quick-fix treatments, Yoni Steaming works holistically – supporting not only physical symptoms but emotional balance and self-connection, too.

Choosing the right herbs for menopause support

Every Yoni Steam I create is completely tailored to the individual.

For women experiencing menopause symptoms, I often choose herbs that gently cool, soothe, and rebalance the body – such as lavender, chamomile, and rose. Each blend is organic and chemical-free, chosen for its ability to calm inflammation, nourish the tissues, and promote relaxation.

If my clients are steaming at home, I provide a support guide to ensure it’s carried out safely and effectively. During my yoni steam treatments at Wombon Wellness, we discuss your individual needs and overall wellbeing to create a personalised experience that truly supports you.

Is it safe?

When practised safely and guided by a trained practitioner, Yoni Steaming is a gentle, nurturing, and deeply restorative treatment.

As a qualified Yoni Steam Practitioner and IPHM-accredited Trainer, I ensure every session is carried out with care, attention, and your comfort in mind.

It’s not about “fixing” your body, it’s about listening to it, reconnecting, and giving yourself the space to heal naturally.

Why I’m passionate about supporting women through menopause

Like many women, I’ve personally experienced the shifts that come with menopause. It was during this time that I turned even more deeply toward holistic healing and it’s one of the reasons I now teach other practitioners to offer Yoni Steaming safely and professionally.

This work isn’t just about a treatment, it’s about helping women reclaim a sense of ease, confidence, and peace in their own bodies.

I spoke about this more in my recent live with another wonderful woman supporting women during menopause – Louise Pitman Yoga.
